About Technopark Morocco

Technopark Morocco is a network of business parks for tech startups and SMEs, managed by the Moroccan Information Technopark Company (MITC), a public-private company. The first Technopark opened in Casablanca in 2001. Rabat followed in 2012, Tangier in 2015 and Agadir in 2021, and an Essaouira site was announced for late 2023.

Technopark is an incubator and office provider, not an investor. Startups rent offices or coworking space at subsidized rates and get access to training, mentors, investors and corporate partners. MITC says more than 3,000 startups have been supported since 2001, and about 450 are hosted at any time.

Its community counts more than 3,600 entrepreneurs, with 203 AI startups in the network in 2025. Technopark's main structured program is the Morocco Accelerator, run with Plug and Play and funded by the Ministry of Digital Transition under the Digital Morocco 2030 strategy. It is a free, three-month program that takes no equity.

Cohort 1 in 2025 had 18 startups, cohort 2 launched in April 2026 with 19, and cohort 3 started in October 2026 with 20. Selected startups may also qualify for non-dilutive financing through the Startup Venture Building program operated by Tamwilcom. Technopark also runs Boost Up Lab, a national pre-incubation program.

What Technopark Morocco looks for

The Morocco Accelerator wants startups with a Moroccan founder, co-founder or diaspora connection. Applicants need a product in the market, traction, revenue and scalable technology, and can be at pre-seed to Series A. Prior funding is not required. For office space, Technopark accepts tech startups and SMEs, with Tangier focused on logistics, Industry 4.0 and mobility. Teams should show a clear plan to grow from Morocco into other markets.

How the Technopark Morocco program works

The Morocco Accelerator runs for three months at Technopark Casablanca. Startups get one-on-one mentoring from experts, practical workshops, office space at Technopark, and introductions to corporates and investors through Plug and Play's global network. Sessions include investor reverse pitches and technology perks.

Some graduates are selected for Plug and Play events abroad; two cohort 2 startups were picked for the Plug and Play Silicon Valley Summit in November 2026. Outside the accelerator, Technopark membership gives startups an office or coworking desk, events, training and access to financing partners. Boost Up Lab runs bootcamps over about six months to turn ideas into structured projects.

Technopark Morocco FAQ

Technopark Morocco reviews applications on a rolling basis, so you can apply at any time.

Is Technopark Morocco an accelerator or an incubator?+

Mainly an incubator and business park. MITC, a public-private company, runs Technopark sites in Casablanca, Rabat, Tangier and Agadir, offering offices, coworking, training and networks. Its accelerator is the Morocco Accelerator, a three-month program run with Plug and Play and funded by the Ministry of Digital Transition.

Does the Morocco Accelerator take equity or charge fees?+

No. The Morocco Accelerator is equity-free and fee-free. It does not give cash directly, but selected startups may qualify for non-dilutive financing through the Startup Venture Building program, funded by the ministry and operated by Tamwilcom. Office space at Technopark is part of the program.

When is the next Morocco Accelerator cohort?+

Cohort 3 closed applications on September 15, 2026 and started in October 2026 with 20 startups. Cohort 2 began in April 2026 after a March 5 deadline. If the twice-a-year pattern holds, the next call should open in early 2027, but no date has been published.

Can diaspora founders apply?+

Yes. The Morocco Accelerator accepts startups with a Moroccan founder, co-founder or diaspora connection, and earlier cohorts were nearly half diaspora-founded. Startups need a product in market and some revenue. The program runs in person at Technopark Casablanca, so founders must be able to attend.
