About TechQuartier
TechQuartier is a startup hub and coworking space in Frankfurt am Main. It has run events, programs and accelerators since 2016 and was recognized as the FinTech Hub Frankfurt in 2024. It sits in the city that hosts the European Central Bank, BaFin, the new EU anti money laundering authority AMLA and about 280 other financial institutions.
Its value is the bridge between startups and that financial center. TechQuartier is not an investor. Its startup programs are free and take no equity.
Startup membership is also free and curated, open to digital startups worldwide. The community counts 750+ members, 460 mentors, 200+ investors and 30+ corporate, academic and ecosystem partners. TechQuartier says 280 startups joined its programs from 2024.
The best known program is TQ Accelerator: Digital Finance. In 2025 it took 15 startups for 7 weeks, with 4 weeks in Frankfurt and 3 weeks online. Partners included Visa, ING Deutschland, Deka, Helaba, KPMG and Baker McKenzie.
The 2026 edition ran from 11 May to 25 June. Other programs include Hessen10 for startups in the state of Hesse, TQ Accelerator: Impact, Fundraising Readiness, Idea Camp and Startup Bootcamp. As of late October 2026 every program on the site is closed or has a date marked tbd.
What TechQuartier looks for
For Digital Finance, TechQuartier wants European startups from Seed to Series A and beyond, with 10 or more team members, building solutions for banks and financial institutions. Strong fits work on open and embedded finance, data aggregation, APIs, CBDC, generative AI, cybersecurity or tokenization. Products should be ready for a pilot with a corporate partner. Hessen10 is restricted to startups based in Hesse, while TQ Accelerator: Impact looks for impact-oriented companies.
How the TechQuartier program works
TQ Accelerator: Digital Finance is the flagship. It runs for 7 weeks. Four weeks are in person in Frankfurt and three are virtual.
Each cohort has about 15 startups. The program mixes masterclasses and roundtables on regulation, data aggregation, cybersecurity and AI with networking events. There is an investor dinner, public trend events and a startup safari that takes founders into the offices of Frankfurt banks and financial institutions.
Corporate partners such as Visa, ING Deutschland, GFT, Deka, Helaba, KPMG, Baker McKenzie and VR Payment take part to find pilot partners. Focus areas in 2025 were open and embedded finance, data aggregation, APIs and platforms, CBDC, generative AI, cybersecurity and tokenization. Hessen10 is a separate longer program, running from 5 October to 16 February, for 10 startups from Hesse.
All programs are free.
