About Barclays Eagle Labs

Barclays Eagle Labs is the startup and scaleup network of Barclays Bank UK. It launched in 2015 and combines coworking spaces, mentoring, programmes and investor introductions. As of 30 June 2026, Eagle Labs reports 43 locations across the UK and 21,967 businesses supported.

8 billion in lifetime funding, based on Beauhurst data. Eagle Labs does not invest in startups or take equity. Its value is access: local Ecosystem Managers, a mentor network, corporate introductions through Corporate Connections and investor exposure through the Barclays Demo Directory.

Most programmes are delivered with a partner. Current and recent examples include the Sales Growth Programme with Form, the Female Founder Accelerator with AccelerateHER, the Black Founder Accelerator with Foundervine, the Funding Readiness Programme with Capital Enterprise, the Carbon13 Venture Builder and the National Climate Tech Accelerator with Sustainable Ventures. Several programmes are built for underrepresented founders, including veterans and military spouses.

The next open deadline is the Barclays Sales Growth Programme, which closes on Friday 20 November 2026. It takes up to 15 UK-headquartered B2B companies with at least £250,000 in annual sales and runs online for six weeks from January 2027, ending with an in-person Sales Growth Summit.

What Barclays Eagle Labs looks for

Requirements differ by programme. For the Sales Growth Programme, Eagle Labs wants actively trading B2B businesses with early traction, pilots or customers and at least £250,000 in annual sales. The founder must own sales or customer acquisition, attend every session and test new approaches. Selection weighs business readiness, traction, commitment and fit. Companies must be headquartered in the UK. Other programmes target specific groups such as female, Black, veteran or climate tech founders.

How the Barclays Eagle Labs program works

Eagle Labs runs many short programmes rather than one accelerator. Each has its own length, partner and audience. The Sales Growth Programme lasts six weeks.

It opens with an online commercial diagnostic, then three half-day online workshops held every two weeks, called Build the map, Craft with care and Move to win. Between workshops, founders book one-to-one clinics with sales experts. It ends with an in-person Sales Growth Summit.

The Veteran and Military Spousal Founders programmes run for five weeks with self-learning modules and a dedicated Barclays Champion. The Female Founder Accelerator runs nine weeks of masterclasses. The Scaleup Programme is a four-month hybrid course with four in-person workshop days.

Members can also use coworking desks at Eagle Labs sites, join events and access the free online Entrepreneur Academy.
