About Flat6Labs
Flat6Labs is one of the oldest startup accelerators in the Arab world. It launched in Cairo in 2011, set up by Sawari Ventures. It now runs programs in a long list of countries, including Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Jordan, Tunisia, Morocco, Bahrain, Lebanon, Iraq, Palestine, Oman and Pakistan.
In August 2025 the company reorganized under a parent called F6 Group. The investment side became F6 Ventures, a seed-stage VC firm run by Dina el-Shenoufy and Ramez El-Serafy. The accelerator kept the Flat6Labs name and is led by CEO Yehia Houry.
Flat6Labs says it invests $65,000 to $120,000 per startup in exchange for a minority stake. The exact amount depends on the office running the program. Startups that later secure a firm offer from an outside co-investor can get $100,000 to $500,000 in follow-on funding.
The Riyadh Seed Program is one of its largest tracks. By January 2026 it had backed more than 60 Saudi startups with about $17 million since 2023. Many Flat6Labs programs are run with partners such as IFC, ITIDA, Tamwilcom in Morocco or corporate sponsors, so terms, sectors and eligibility change from program to program.
Instabug, the Cairo-born mobile debugging company later backed by Accel, went through the first Cairo cycle. There is no single deadline for the network. Each program publishes its own application window.
What Flat6Labs looks for
Flat6Labs backs early-stage tech startups that can grow beyond their home market. Seed programs such as Riyadh Seed look for companies incorporated or ready to incorporate in the program country, with a working product or clear early traction. Support programs such as Ignite Morocco ask for a validated proof of concept, prototype or MVP.
Teams should be committed full time. Sector programs add their own focus, such as PropTech, women's health or green growth. Because partners fund many programs, the eligibility rules on each program page are the ones that count.
How the Flat6Labs program works
Flat6Labs does not run one global batch. Each country office runs its own cycles. Seed programs such as Riyadh Seed run about four months.
Startups receive cash at the start of the program, plus mentoring, workshops, office space and partner perks. The program ends with a Demo Day for investors. The sixth Riyadh Demo Day took place in January 2026.
Other tracks are support programs rather than seed programs. Ignite Morocco, run with Tamwilcom, offers 6 to 18 months of support to Moroccan startups that already have a proof of concept, prototype or MVP. Sector programs, such as the Egypt PropTech Challenge with Cityscape Egypt, run on shorter timelines.
After graduation, startups that land a committed outside investor can apply for follow-on money. Ecosystem programs for incubators and other support organizations run separately and do not invest in startups.

How much does Flat6Labs invest?+
Flat6Labs states that it invests $65,000 to $120,000 per startup in exchange for a minority stake. The amount depends on which country office runs the program. Graduates that secure a firm offer from an outside co-investor can also get $100,000 to $500,000 in follow-on funding.
