About Paris&Co

Paris&Co is the economic development and innovation agency of Paris and its metropolitan area. It runs one of the largest incubator networks in France. The City of Paris says it has supported more than 800 innovative companies over nineteen years.

It is an incubator, not an investor. Paris&Co takes no equity and charges an annual fee for support. It runs six sector programs: Sustainable Food, Future of Organizations, Health, Sport, Tourism and Culture, and Sustainable Cities.

A seventh, Social Innovation, is free and runs as part of the Bpifrance Entrepreneuriat Quartiers 2030 scheme. Each sector program puts startups in front of corporate partners, institutions and local governments to test products in real conditions. Paris&Co calls this proof of market.

Pricing for the sector programs is published. The Basique offer costs 6,500 euros a year excluding VAT. Essentiel costs 8,000 euros and Premium costs 12,000 euros, with Premium giving access to a second sector program.

Paris&Co is labelled by the Paris Innovation Fund, so startups on Essentiel or Premium can apply for a grant of up to 30,000 euros from Bpifrance and the City of Paris. Applications are open all year, with a monthly selection committee. Paris&Co says it accepts about 25% of applications.

The free 12-month Social Innovation program takes 25 projects based in Ile-de-France and starts its next cohort in January 2027.

What Paris&Co looks for

The jury scores five criteria. Innovation in product, service or use. Impact, social or environmental. Credibility and long-term development potential. Team strength and complementarity. Business synergies with the Paris&Co ecosystem. Projects must be past the idea stage, though more mature startups working on scale, fundraising or international growth are welcome. The company must exist when the program starts. Startups from outside Paris and abroad can apply to the sector programs.

How the Paris&Co program works

Startups join one sector program for about a year. Each program has its own team and partner network of corporates, institutions and local authorities. The core of the work is field testing: running pilots with those partners to prove the product works.

Support mixes individual coaching, group workshops, introductions to partners and investors, negotiated startup offers and an event program. Startups can be hosted in Paris&Co offices or follow the program without office space. The three paid tiers change the depth of support.

Essentiel at 8,000 euros a year covers the support costs that the Paris Innovation Fund grant can reimburse. Premium at 12,000 euros adds a second sector program. The Social Innovation program is a separate free 12-month track for high-impact social and environmental projects in Ile-de-France, with priority for companies in priority urban neighborhoods.
