Deal Highlights
Klap in One Line
Klap turns one long video into a batch of short clips for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and LinkedIn. You paste a YouTube link or upload a file, and Klap finds the strongest moments, reframes them to vertical, adds captions and gives you clips ready to post. Through SaaSOffers you get 30% off your first month with the code SAASOFFERS30.
We checked the plans, prices and features below against Klap's own website in October 2026.
The SaaSOffers Deal: 30% Off Your First Month
- 30% off your first month on any monthly Klap plan.
- Code: SAASOFFERS30, entered at checkout.
Click Get the deal, create your Klap account through our link, then enter SAASOFFERS30 when you pick a monthly plan. On Pro, which is $79 billed month to month, that takes about $24 off your first month. On Pro+ at $189, it is about $57.
The code applies to monthly billing. If you already know you will use Klap all year, compare it with yearly billing, which Klap prices at up to 50% less per month. We work through both options further down.
Who Klap Is For
Klap works best on videos where people talk. Its clip detection is built around speech, so it shines on:
- Podcasts and interviews. A one hour episode becomes a week of short posts.
- Founder content. Talks, AMAs, webinars and product walkthroughs.
- Educational videos. Lessons, tutorials and trainings cut into single ideas.
- Product reviews and demos. The moments where the product clicks for the viewer.
For a startup, the use case is simple. You already record calls, demos, podcasts or launch videos. Most of that footage is watched once and forgotten. Klap turns it into a steady stream of short posts without hiring an editor or learning a video tool.
Klap says 3.5 million creators have made 8.5 million clips with it.
How Klap Works
1. Paste a link or upload a video
Paste a YouTube link or drop a video file. Klap's rule of thumb is that one minute of video produces about five clips, so a 30 minute recording gives you plenty to choose from.
2. Klap picks the best moments
Klap transcribes the video and pulls out the strongest topics: a clear point, a strong opinion, a funny exchange. Each clip gets a score for its potential to go viral, so you can start with the most promising ones instead of watching every result.
3. Reframing to vertical
Most long videos are horizontal. Klap reframes each clip to vertical and follows the person speaking. Its newer AI Reframe 2 also handles harder layouts: split screen for two speakers, screencasts and gaming footage.
4. Captions and branding
Clips come with designed subtitles, because most short videos are watched with the sound off. You can change fonts, colours, logos and framing so every clip looks like your brand. Klap also writes a suggested caption to post alongside each video.
5. Publish or schedule
Download your clips in high resolution, or publish and schedule them straight to TikTok, YouTube, Instagram and LinkedIn from Klap. Every plan includes unlimited connected social accounts and analytics.
Languages
Klap transcribes and edits videos in 52 languages, including English, Spanish, French, German, Chinese, Japanese, Hindi and Arabic. That matters if you sell in several markets: you can clip a French webinar and an English podcast in the same account.
Klap Plans and Pricing in 2026
| Plan | Yearly (per month) | Monthly | Clips per month | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | $14 | $29 | 100 | A solo founder or creator testing short-form video |
| Pro | $39 | $79 | 300 | Someone posting short videos every day |
| Pro+ | $94 | $189 | 1,000 | A team or agency clipping for several channels |
Every plan includes AI clipping, unlimited social accounts and analytics. Paid exports carry no Klap branding. For needs past Pro+, Klap asks you to contact the team.
Basic
100 clips a month is enough for one or two long videos a week. It is the plan to start on if you are testing whether short-form video brings you anything.
Pro
300 clips a month covers daily posting across several platforms. Klap marks it as its most popular plan.
Pro+
1,000 clips a month is built for teams, agencies and companies running several channels or clipping for clients.
Can You Try Klap for Free?
Yes, on one video. Create a free account, with no credit card, and Klap turns one video into clips you can preview and edit. Downloading and posting clips needs a paid plan.
The best way to use the free try is with a real recording you would actually post, such as your latest podcast episode or a product demo. If the clips are good enough to publish, pick a plan and use SAASOFFERS30 for your first month.
Monthly With the Code or Yearly?
Here is what the first year costs on the Pro plan:
- Monthly with SAASOFFERS30: $79 minus 30% is about $55 for month one, then $79 a month after that. If you stop after a month or two, that is all you pay.
- Yearly: $39 a month, billed as $468 for the year.
Our advice: if you are new to short-form video, start monthly with the code. You pay less up front and you can stop if clips do not bring you views or leads. Once you have posted for a month and know the workflow fits, yearly billing is the cheaper way to keep going.
Klap vs the Alternatives
Klap competes with other AI clipping tools such as Opus Clip and Vizard, and with editors like Descript and Kapwing.
- Klap vs AI clipping tools. Opus Clip and Vizard work the same way: long video in, short clips out. The differences come down to how good the picks are on your content, how the captions look and the price per clip. The free try on one video is the fastest way to compare them on your own footage.
- Klap vs Descript. Descript is a full editor for podcasts and videos, where you edit by editing the transcript. Klap does one job, turning long videos into short clips with almost no editing. Many teams use both: Descript to produce the episode, Klap to cut it into clips. See our Descript alternatives for more options.
- Klap vs a freelance editor. An editor cutting daily clips costs far more than a Pro plan. Klap will not match a skilled editor on creative choices, but for volume posting from talking-head content it does most of the work in minutes.
Integrations, API and Automation
Klap connects to Zapier, Make and n8n, so you can trigger clipping when a new video lands on YouTube or in a folder, and send finished clips wherever you need them. It also has an API and an MCP server for teams that want to build clipping into their own product or use it from an AI assistant.
A Simple Workflow for Founders
- Record once a week. A podcast episode, a customer call you have permission to share, a demo or a short talk about a problem you solve.
- Run it through Klap. Sort by virality score and keep the five to ten best clips.
- Brand them once. Set your fonts, colours and logo so every clip looks consistent.
- Schedule a week of posts. One clip a day on TikTok, Reels, Shorts and LinkedIn from inside Klap.
- Check analytics after a month. Keep the formats that bring views and signups and drop the rest.
That is a full short-form channel for about an hour of work a week.
Getting Better Clips From Klap
The AI does the cutting, but what you feed it decides how good the clips are. A few habits make a big difference:
- Say one idea at a time. Klap picks moments around a clear point. Answers that start with the conclusion ("The mistake most founders make with pricing is...") make far better clips than answers that build up slowly.
- Record good audio. Captions and clip detection both start from the transcript. A cheap external microphone gives cleaner transcripts than a laptop mic in an echoing room.
- Frame people with some space. Reframing to vertical crops the sides of a horizontal shot. Leave room around each speaker so the vertical crop keeps their face and hands in view.
- Use the virality score as a shortlist, not a verdict. Start with the top scored clips, then add the ones you know matter to your buyers, even if they scored lower. A clip about your exact niche can beat a generally entertaining one for leads.
- Keep your brand settings fixed. The same fonts, colours and caption style on every clip makes your posts recognisable in a fast feed.
- Post consistently before judging. Short-form reach builds over weeks. Give a format at least a month of regular posting before you decide it does not work.
What Klap Does Not Do
Klap is focused, which is its strength, but it helps to know where it stops:
- It is not a full video editor. You can adjust clips, captions and branding, but for multi-track editing, colour work or long-form cuts you still need an editor such as Descript, Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
- It needs speech. Music videos, silent screen recordings and footage without talking give Klap little to work with, because it finds clips from what is said.
- It does not record. Klap starts from a finished video. For recording remote interviews, use a tool like Riverside or Zoom, then bring the file into Klap.
- Downloads need a paid plan. The free try lets you preview and edit clips from one video, but exporting and posting them requires Basic or above.
Is Klap Worth It for a Startup?
If you already produce talking videos, yes. Most early teams record far more than they publish: demo calls, founder interviews, webinars, conference talks and podcast guest spots. Klap turns that existing footage into daily posts, which is the cheapest way to show up on TikTok, Reels, Shorts and LinkedIn without a content hire.
The numbers are simple. Pro at $79 a month, or $55 for the first month with SAASOFFERS30, gives you 300 clips. Even if you post only one of every ten clips, that is a month of daily posts for less than a single hour of a freelance editor's time in most markets.
If you do not record video yet, start there first. Klap multiplies what you already make. It does not replace having something to say.
